Our work with the Global Hygiene Council is a prime example of our drive for innovation. Amidst a global pandemic, hygiene is widely accepted as a primary preventative measure for controlling a virus in the community. However, global and national action plans fail to acknowledge community and home hygiene as both a key strategy in preventing the spread of infectious diseases and an effective mitigation tool in the fight against AMR.
In partnership with the Global Hygiene Council, we are challenging this by leading a global ‘call-to-action’ for policy makers to include comprehensive home and community hygiene recommendations as part of global and national AMR action plans.
